Is it true you don't need the MAF anymore when you install a SSAFC V3?

since it has a built in MAP ???

all the ss afc's have a built in map sensor thats why you hook a vacume line up to it. as far as taking out the maf sensor id say no since its a piggy back and is relying on the incoming signals from the maf to operate. if it didnt have any incoming signal from the maf i see no way how it could alter the maps if its not getting and reading in the 1st place.

plus the afc only adjusts the boost afr, it does nothing outside of boost

ya you need the MAF cuz it does ask to connect wires to the MAF

thats the think i think it does because you can run 440's with the afc so it has to have some way of adjusting the fuel at idle

i thought it made it do like on a honda which has only a MAP..

also makes it easier when boosting.
