Ok, I put the 626 mani on my msp but of course I kicked the cel for the egr saying its completely blocked off and there is also no egr pipe on it i'm not surprised. My question, is there a way to get the 626 egr valve to work with the msp? Aslo will putting in the egr pipe help my cold starts or do I need both the egr valve and the pipe for that? Thanks

Have you talked to Ken at protegegarage? I believe he offers something to do with the EGR on the manis he sells as a option. I forget what it is right off hand but worth a shot a least.

Ok yeah the egr valve spot is blocked by a plate but it can be unscrewed. the hole for the egr pipe is still there, I would have to take the mani out and see how the egr pipe hole is blocked again. There is nothing screwed into it so there has to be something filled in the egr pipe hole? Also right now my egr valve is not even plugged in, would just plugging this in help, or would it kick a cel because there is no actual air going through it.
This is were i got my mani, on the forums.

Take your stock pipe, cut it down. Put a breather filter on the end. Plug your EGR in and reset ECU. WOrked for me for 6+ months without a CEL.

Let me see if I can figure this out: disconnect the EGR pipe from the exhaust, cut it down so it isn't touching the exhaust manifold/header (for you NA boys) and put a breather filter on the EGR pipe such that the intake manifold is taking in air from the engine bay instead of the exhaust? And then you'd also have to cap off the EGR nipple on the exhaust manifold/header.
Correct?

Well ya but I don't have an EGR nipple on my manifold (why I did it) so that's what worked for me. I've got a pic somewhere, lemme look. Might be at home though.
Now that I have the Haltech, my stock ECU is not involved in anything but running my gauge cluster, so the EGR is right outta there.

is there something that i could use to block off the egr nipple on the exhaust mani?

Yeah right now i have a cap over my exhaust mani nipple and the egr valve mounting spot is blocked by a plate. But apparently it doesn't matter if i unblock it or not, it doesn't help my cold starts. Just gets rid of the cel. When i'm home i'm going to just plug in the egr valve and see if that will kick the cel.

I used the stainless steel gas line trick. All i did was buy the kit, and all the adapters came with it to make it fit. Other than the color change due to the heat, the pipe is holding up beautifully.

Tru the hose thing worked, i'm guessing this is in combination with bolting up the egr valve and also using the hose kit. If you have the part number or can locate the kit you used that would be great, just so i know what i would be looking for. thank you again for the help.
