I was SURE there was an MS3 that was BLUE. BRIGHT METALLIC BLUE! In fact I saw one on the internet. Somewhere.....
but, it's not real! The MS3 only comes in 4 colors, which is probably old news to you guys, but it really makes me mad.
I don't want another red car, I don't mind the black but it's BLACK meaning hard to keep clean, swirl marks, most of the time you go black on black with dark tint and it can look really cheesy. The silver one doesn't look that good, and that blue color is just ugly IMO.
WHY NOT HAVE MORE COLORS! Yellow, blue, copper........ i know the new ones have white..... YAY!
Come on Mazda!

I have the Aurora Blue/Electric Blue (different names in different markets, maybe? they look the same) on my Mazda3 GT 5-Door, and it is a very striking colour, but I have to admit I like the Cosmic Blue on my MS3 more.

I'm looking at a Cosmo Grey RX-8 at the dealer. Looks very nice. Darker than the Titanium Grey. I'd put that on the top of the list if I was looking at new.

i'm talking about the "rally" blue color. I Know Mazda has it, because the RX8 I was looking at is the EXACT color, and would look GREAT on a MS3!
I would look great with gold colored rims... very rally-ish! very very cool IMO.
I don't know if the "rally" blue is the aurora blue, or the cosmic blue you guys are speaking of.

The only other blue Mazda used recently in the RX8 I'm aware of is Phantom Blue...

Cosmic blue is specific to MS3's ... its like a sunset blue/gray color ... if that makes sense.
Now, if you move to australia/new zealand, they have Aurora Blue (the bright blue color) available there for MS3's ... (called MPS there i believe)

silver is gorgeous, but of course it's a matter of taste. with an allotment of 5000 cars per year, having too many color choices makes things alot more difficult for sales on a limited run vehicle. the cars are already not the easiest to source in some colors as it is, and they are coming from Japan, so you then have a special order situation with LONG lead times. not a smart thing for a lower cost car that will only run for 2 years. If this was a Mini Cooper, Lotus or some sort of ultra niche car, maybe, but not a Mazda. I think those in the market should consider themselves lucky that they added the white and the gray.

White, black and red were my three choices for my MS3.. I have a reason for my choices
Black - Been there, hard to please you after a full clean, swirl marks.. LOVE BLACK though!
Red - Already seen too many red MS3's in my area. LOVED it, but couldn't bring myself to adding to that collection
Blue Mica - I can't beleive so many people have this one, not so appealing IMO. SORRY TO THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE IT.. You don't and/or shouldn't care what others think.
Silver - Who doesn't have a silver car. Every fucking car on my driveway is silver.
White - Ahh yes, good ol white! I'm very happy with my decision

Cosmic Blue FTW!!
It's unique to the MS3 and looks different/awesome in different lights.
To the OP,
have you seen Cosmic Blue in person? The Mazda website just doesn't do it justice.
or you could always wait for 2008.5 White or Gray.

I was, and always will be, disappointed that there isn't a brilliant blue color that I fell in love with when the 3 5-door first came out. I've always had blue cars and thought I always would.
This is my first black car, and I probably won't have one again. I LOVE the way it looks so mean, but it gets dirty and hot in less than an hour.
I love black accents - I would have loved for it to match my truck -

I was dissapointed as well...I loved the laser blue on the P5 I had. They should have chosen laser blue , velocity red or spicy orange to make this car stand out. I have a black one and I find it makes it look more upscale and less boy racer, and I actually like that.

Cosmic Blue was my second choice but Pearl White was my first choice. And by chance they only speed 3 they had on the lot was Pearl White which meant I did not have to order my Speed3, so I guess I won LOL.
But seriously dont bag on the Cosmic Blue until you have seen it in person. It is an amazing colour. Mosst pictures do not do it justice.
