bose HU handle mp3?

i used a dvd-r and put several folders of mp3's on it. my old pioneer unit in my old civic would be able to play this, but it seems it can't play on my bose HU in my '08 ms3.

what's up with that? does it handle mp3? i thought it did...

dang! i put a reduced folder amount on a cd-r and it still doesn't work. can they NOT be in folders?

nope. Unless there's a little MP3 tag near the CD slot, it will not play an mp3 cd. RTFM

me too. i have a really nice setup using the HU - mtx re-q, alpine type r 12", pdx 4150 and type r 6.5 comp set. it sounds wonderful cept i can't play dang mp3's : (

My Bose has the MP3 logo next to the LOAD button. i figured.

From what I've read (and testing in my car) 07 and 08 MS3's with Bose aren't mp3 compatible, they will do burnt cd's, just not mp3's. That being said the 2008.5's are supposed to work with mp3 cd's
