I gave the search function a good workout, since I was pretty sure someone would have posted this up already, but I didn't find anything useful.
So, to those of you who have put together custom intercooler piping for the stock SMIC, can you give me an idea what lengths and bends you ended up using?

There's a bunch of kits out, chck for the measurements of those pieces and go from there. I'd just get a pipe kit with 2.25" piping and go from there.

why are you making hardpipes for the stock smic?
are your plastic pipes cracked?

No, they're not cracked that I'm aware of, but hardpipes built around the stock SMIC will accomodate the SMIC upgrades out there just fine. Plus I just don't have much confidence in these plastic pipes. It should be a straight-forward enough project that I'd rather do it myself than buy a kit.
I mean, I'm not in dire need of measurements since it's simple enough to pull out the stock tubes and rough up the lengths and bends from that. But I figured there's a good chance that someone who has already done all that work might be willing to share their notes.

i didnt question your ability to make them.
so you are looking to upgrade to a more efficient smic?
i was just going to say unless you plan on staying with the smic, i wouldnt waste money on hardpipes to the smic unless like you said you are going to keep a smic setup.
you hear ppl claim that the stock plastic pipes suck. unless they are cracked, there is no point in upgrading to hardpipes. the little t25 is pumping a measly 6 psi, nothing to warrant stronger material (unless you have a crack).

Yes, at some point in the near future, I plan on upgrading to a better SMIC. I also plan on upping the boost a bit, but not to the point where I'd really feel like going FMIC.

Well, I'm probably going to be mocking up the lengths and bends today with some PVC pipe this weekend (less than $10 for a 6' chunk of 2" pipe and a whole mess of bends), so I'll put a link in here when I get something useful to post up.
