exhaust question

i have an apexr1 2.5 j/mid and the greddy sp2 that are going on my car soon. my question is about the gaskets. can i reuse them or should i get new ones? can i get them an pep boys or autozone etc, or should i get them from the dealer?

I have the exact same exhaust setup on my car. I'd get new gaskets, though. Also, I recommend that you use Kartboy exhaust hangers.

I agree, new gaskets and kartboy exhaust hangers are the way to go. I have to 2 unused kartboy hangers, pm me if your interested theEZV .

are all 4 of the kartboy hangers identical? i have 2 of them, would be nice to get the other 2

The gasket between the S and J pipes is a metal, re-useable gasket. However, it is highly recommended that you get a new gasket that goes between the midpipe and the cat-back. It's $4 from Apex, so why the heck not.

Also, the front pair of Kartboy hangers are different from the rear pair.

Sorry to hijack, how does this setup sounds?
I have the SP2 with a custom 2.5" J/mid setup and it's bloody boomy & loud I find. Don't know which part is the culprit.
Might consider teh apexr1 2.5 j/mid too if it's stock quiet.

Likely an exhaust leak. The sp2 is pretty quiet and even with a catless pipe, it shouldn't be too loud. Just get under there, have someone start the car and put your hand near the flanges. If you can't feel anything, you can also put soap water on the flanges to see if bubbles emerge. Otherwise, if theres nothing, thats how it sounds.

they should be for the muffler, the 10mm is for the midpipe
