Hmm, maybe for a little, but I really don't need 2 cars so I'll probably put it up for sale at some point

doubt it, but the miata's not exactly in sale-worthy shape right now ;)

edit: d'oh - I just noticed the 6's front bumper hasn't been drilled for a license plate... it's gonna suck screwing into it :(

DON'T do it!!! Make a bracket that mounts to/behind the lower grill. Hell, zip-tie it to the lower grill! Just don't deface a clean bumper!

Looks nice, BTW. I prefer the hatch, myself, but I am considering a 6 as my next Mazda.

So, what's keeping the Miata from being sale-able? Keep in mind that if you don't want too much money for it, many people on here would take a Miata in need of rehab! I wish I had the opportunity to pick it up, I love that blue!

I don't think I'd ask too much for it, though. Probably somewhere around Private Party KBB fair condition or so.

Hang it from da lower grill w/ black twist ties.

Why did you ever get rid of the Protege? You had it all modded up nicely.

Nice 6 btw :-P

well I wanted something cheap for a while b/c my car payment + insurance was adding up to almost $600/month - thus old miata (no car payment + cheap insurance)

my driving record has improved and my insurance has gotten cheaper, so I could afford to get into something a bit newer

So, now that you've had it for a bit, how do you like it?

Does it feel huge/sluggish/heavy to drive? You're coming from a Miata and a modded Protege, as am I, so I'm very curious what you think. The 6 wagon or hatch are pretty high on my list for next car.

While it's nowhere near as nimble as a Miata or Protege, it handles quite well for a big sedan. It has a nice feel and decent feedback, and when you get on the throttle it goes - way more so than any car I've had before. I don't regret the purchase at all.

So far my only real issue is an off-idle throttle lag that may be related to a defective throttle body. There's a TSB for this that I'll have to look into.

By the way, the Miata is up for sale http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123697651
