Hey there everybody...

Well, I haven't much background as to what the problem is, I just noticed it on the way to work this morning.

My cruise control doesn't work for some reason. I can push the button in, the green cruise control light comes on and when I hold the Lever down to set the cruise it won't set?

(99' es protege man trans)

Anyone have this problem? it wouldn't be the weather would it? -8 F outside right now... :(

Thanks a bunch,
Cole (i'll check back periodically during the day)

check your brake lights to make sure the bulbs are still good. i don't know 100% if the 99 is the same as my 01, but the cruise on my 01 will not engage if i have a brake bulb out.

good call, I'll check that, I did just wire in my trailer harness, I'll have to make sure everything is connected properly there. Thanks, If anyone else has ideas I wouldn't mind hearing them too,
Thanks

Cole

even if your bulbs are still good, the trailer harness might be causing the cruise module to "flip-out" so to speak.

Yeah, I was thinking that. I spliced the drivers taillight for most of the harness and only the right turn signal on the passenger side taillight. when the trailer isn't hooked up I wonder why it's not working correctly... hm

I've noticed the same thing. It think it has to do with the temp. When it was cold here about a month ago I tried my cruise and it didn't work. It warmed up a bit and then started to work again.

^^^ that sounds lie a possible vacuum issue. i would check or replace your cruise vacuum lines and see if it helps it any.
