When ever I try to check into the audio section for the MSP, an error is displayed:

Anyway, I just wanted to ask someone if the rear support bracket needed to be cut out in order to install the Alpine CDA-9885 CD Receiver? Thanks.

It's working fine for me. The Audio subforum, I mean.

It's my old notebook... my desktop works just fine... grrr...

But... no one knows if the rear support bracket needs to be cut to install the Alpine CDA-9885 CD Receiver?

It's just confusing because crutchfield says it fits (no modification indicator) but yet has a link that tells you that the support bracket needs to be cut for the protege.
