I have them on my speed 6. They are close to plug and play other then there is no where to put the switch in the dash. Mine is under the dash.

No got from a member who got them from a groupbuy from other forum. He had bought for his speed3 but could not use them cause the mounting plate is different then the speed 6.

anyone have a proper wiring diagram for these? i have them installed, they work with the switch but i want them to close when i turn the engine off and open when i turn the engine on. currently if i close them with the switch then turn the engine off - the mirrors will open back up. :( i think i have one or two wires hooked up incorrectly.

Wish I could remember how I wired mine, but it was so long ago. mine open and close when the car is turned on or off. I got mine from a group buy off of another website a while back. They were plug and play but they weren't. The plugs are the same for the MS6, but you need to wire up for power to the mirrors, and tap wires for the under lights and the blinkers. I can't remember all off hand.

i think i just have 2 wires wired wrong probably, but i can't seem to find any answers.

Sounds to me like the only mirrors that are truly PnP are the heated ones off the GT models if you only have a sport.

Can someone who has these explain in more detail (or direct me/everyone) on what exactly is required to do these, and where they're available. I'm debating between getting these or heated mirrors, trying to figure out which is more suitable.

As far as I know with the upgrading to the heated mirrors you just have to run the wires to a source, and from my understanding it comes from the rear window defroster. I can't remember exactly. I don't regret putting the mirrors in. I never got to hide the wires sadly, but my brother has my car right now and is working on that.

VRMS6 did the GT heated mirror swap, and they are a direct PnP install. I was just wondering where you guys tapped for the power source, where the switch was mounted, etc., when you did the folding mirror install.

Oh ok, sorry. For power I tapped a wire in the fuse box in the drivers floor board. As for the switch. I popped out my dimmer switch and put that behind the dash since I never change it, and put the mirror switch in it's spot.

Nope you just unplug non heated mirror and plug heated mirror in. No muss no fuss.....

The wire you tapped, is that a constant 12V source, or is it only powered when the key is in ACC/ON? And for the dimmer switch, isn't there a dummy panel right next to the DSC off button? I'm not that familiar with that since I don't really play with those buttons too often.

I honestly can't remember the wiring. Let me see if I can find something on it. As for the dummy panel. I only had three spots and they were all taken, dimmer, HID leveler, and DSC.

Nice didn't realize it was that easy.

Yeah, on my drive home I noticed that there were only 3 positions on the lower portion of the dash. For some reason I thought there were 4. Oh well.

i just need to know what the white wire taps into on the speed3!!!

based on the translation from chinese it's supposed to be a "middle control" or "inprocess control" i think some ms6'ers hooked it up to the automatic locking wire that locks your doors after you start driving? this isn't a feature on the ms3... but i know some people have got it to work!

anyone get theirs from thespeedline? he won't send me his wiring diagram unless i buy a set of mirrors from him. :(

Here's a link to a little more explanation on to your question. Freekwonder dropped this knowledge on the show off your 6/Speed6 thread.

Light wiring (http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3926183&postcount=343)

I believe there was more in that thread somewhere, but was unable to find it.
