Very common mod. 8hp may be a stretch...but I did this on my 99 GSR back in the day. Not sure of the gains.

Did that to my mazda3... absolutely squat to the butt-dyno, which is not at all surprising.

Also, I've seen that same dyno plot pop up in a number of similar products. If you look at the plot, you'll notice that the ''after'' dyno includes a ported throttle body and an "EGR mod" in addition to the coolant bypass, yet they attribute the entire gain to the coolant bypass. Not to mention the gains are on a completely different motor than what the "kit" is being sold for..... as if you needed any more evidence to call BS! lol

This one belongs in the same pile as the ebay power chips and grounding kits.
