Hello all,
I am in need of a boost / vac gauge and I figured while i'm at it I might as well get a few other helpful gauges... Im going to get a triple gauge pod, what gauges would you guys suggest? Also I was reading in another thread about getting your ECU flashed. What does that mean and would it void my factory warranty. In the thread the guy said his car was running rough and it sounds similar to the way my car runs and im hoping this might fix it.
Thanks for the help.

Boost/Vac
Oil pressure OR Oil temp
A/F Ratio (wideband)
as far as the reflash - Its done by the dealership to retune the timing in the vehicle as it runs too rich in certain conditions so that the vehicle doesnt "stumble" during certain throttle conditions. It will not void your warranty as its not an aftermarket adjustment. HOWEVER, it doesnt solve the issue 100% and the condition will still be present. It will help though.

x2 on the gauges have you decided on brands yet. It seems that autometer ultralites match best in daytime but at night not so much due to the illumination around the outside instead of through the numbers.
I've on here that stewart wagners are a better match day and night but have yet to find visual proof.

I have what you looking for and selling them asap when i get some pic's, check my sig. they might not be the "best brand" but they work like any other one's.
I'm selling cuz i got the Greddy one's, don't ask me why but I just went w/ it.
unlike automeeter they'll match with the cabin at night and day.
P.S I'll sell my aem wideband(used for less 5K mil) as well.

as far as flashing the ecu- it won't void you're warranty but unless you have extended warranty then you got nothing to worry.
hint-ecu flash is done by the dealer. + it might not be the wiser decision to flash ecu better off get a EMS - this is from ppl who have flashed ecu and wished they didn't. it kinda makes it harder to put an ems after that for better tuning.
If you're car is running rough then it must be b/c of the heat/hotter terrain you live ine, NV.
Get a FMIC + CAI + TBE--> it will ease the car and make it more stable and it will respond better.

"Stumble" Is the perfect word I would use for whats happening with my car. The other option to fix whats happening would be to get a new EMS and dyno tune? Just guessing.
I havent done a ton of research into what brand to go with yet. Wanted to find out what were the best gauges to get first. Ill let you know when I find some good ones.
Thanks for the help guys!!

I dont think the heat is much of a factor. Its running the same right now as it was durring the summer and its 40 outside. Also I have an INJEN CAI and have upgraded my intercooler pipes to 2.25" alumanum hard pipes w/ Greddy BOV. Doesn't the MSP have a FMIC... Its in front of the engine so i just assumed it was a FMIC O.o Unfortunatly Ive talked to my extended warranty company and an EMS voids my warranty >:|

If you're not going to be modifying your car with a standalone computer or piggyback fuel computer, then the wideband O2 sensor is useless. Also if you're not modifying your car, then any gauge other than the boost/vac gauge is useless and liable to get you in trouble. Oil is very important to a car, and adding any oil gauge adds at least two points of failure for oil leaks. You really don't need to worry about the oil temp and pressure if you aren't going to do anything to the car.
As for extended warranties, I'm surprised the CAI didn't void it, those companies are pretty finicky.

Yeah I was too. But they said as long as the CAI and upgraded pipes don't cause whatever failure I bring it in for its ok. I was really bummed cause I wanted to get the GHL full turbo back exhaust but that voided the warranty. Ive thought about saying screw my warranty and go all out, new turbo GHL exhaust, EMS, ect... but if Im gonna spend that much money on the car I might as well buy a new one... a much faster one O.o

Not that you're wrong on that last thought but if you have/had that impression of just buying a fast car imo you should've done so lol.
MSP might not be the best/strongest but it has its times you know :)
How long is the warranty ?? From my experience w/ the dealer they slack on the job when you show up w/ warranty, thing is they take their time or they don't pay too much att. at the job for somereasons.
I had to go there 10 times and get each and every mech or menager there to drive in my car and pint-point the problem while drive and everyone would be like " I don't hear anything " "You have too much vibration on the car so ........". But now I'm done w/ warranty for good.

I wish I would have had the money at the time to buy a faster car. Since I bought the car ive gotten a better paying job which has lead me to the new car thought O.o The extended warranty still has 3 years on it. In hind sight I shouldn't have wasted the 1000 bones on it. But it was the first time I bought a newer car so I wasnt sure. You live and learn
