Thank you very much for your service.
A lot of this stuff you can find in the for sale sections of the forums and that's the way I'd go. Just keep your eyes open. The mazda 6 club forum has more traffic in the for sale sections.
Good luck.
Street Unit Motor mount - $130
Cobb SRI - $150 (for the MS3)
cp-e Standback $640
cp-e FMIC - $1100
cp-e catted dp - $750
cat back exhaust - GHL, cp-e, corksport, etc.
RPM sport springs $280
Dashawk $300

Find some RX-8 wheels on Ebay or a Mazda forum and wrap them in some TireRack rubber.

haha, i will be back from deployment at the end of this month also, so i know how you feel. ive spent around $1500 on my car since ive been gone and this is what i have waiting for me at the house:
GHL catback w/resonator- used $700
Turbosmart BOV- $240 used
RPM street springs- $229 new
RPM smoked side markers- $69 new
Mazdaspeed CAI- $290 new.
i was considering the corksport FMIC but said no for warranty reasons. i might get the TMIC later on, a nice set of forged wheels, and some carbon fiber bits when i sell my other car after we get back. welscome home bro!

Probably one of the most important mods:
Valentine 1 Radar / Laser Detector - 400
Blinder M40 Laser Jammer - 400

I think it's the little things that really count. I wouldn't get to carried away with modding out the car...
Radar Detector - it's a must have. Get the latest Escort (or Valentine).
Engine Data - ScanGuage or DashHawk will let you see things as they happen.
Hands Free BlueTooth Kit - Talk while you drift through the corners.
CAI - A must if you like the whoosh sound from the turbo.
Motor Mount - Little more vibe at idle, but a huge difference while driving.
Take the left over money and go to a High Performance driving school where you can learn skid control or drifting on someone else's car. :p

Eliminate labor by doing it yourself & don't bother w/a FMIC unless you plan to go serious power w/the car.
