Just did a gas mileage check to compare air conditing on 100% vs air off 100% of the time. Measurements were taken over 1,100 + miles for each test. The AC cost in mpg was 0.93 mpg or ~ 4.4%

windows up with both or not...cause if you had windows down when you had no ac, that would cause excess drag, which in turn would reduce the gas mileage...just something else to consider...

they did an experiment of ac to windows open iirc...but there will always be a drag coefficient when you let air into a vehicle through the windows, as the air enters but has no way out in the back thus causing drag

Drivers window cracked 1 inch with air and 1/2 to full open without.
