just get a hood and make the shield yourself. Weatherseal, plexiglass, and etc...not too hard

This all depends on which hood you are going with. There's the company that was doing the wings west knock-offs for awhile, the real wings west, and the vis. There is also the FI evo8 hood. All of them will require a different style of shield.

I think I might have a custom hood from Fiber Images since I haven't seen any like it.
It's the same one you were selling except the side vents aren't there, only the 2 bigs vents in the middle.

The only one I am selling is my genuine wings west, and it only has the 2 middle vents, no side vents like the vis.

Yeah, mine looks exactly like yours (with no side vents), but it's from Fiber Images. Did you have any rain guards with yours?

We are the ONLY manufacture that clear coats our products using PPG clear, and a UV stable resin that will not yellow or cloud like other manufactures.

Go to a Mitsu dealership and order the plastic cover from underneath the hood. Thats what some of my Nissan friends did. I will try and find the part number.

I'm the one selling him the hood. The hood I have has a fiberglass cover that screws on. I will try to talk to the guy I bought it from to get some info on the vent covers. Here are some pictures:

VIS racing carbon fiber hoods come with the fiberglass rain cover. Screws on with 5 screws. No other companies make it w/ the cover as far as I know. As far as cracking goes...I think it has alot to do with the hood prop... get some hood dampers and would eliminate this type of problem. Also could be heat...but that shouldn't be too big of a problem as long as you take care of the hood.
