Audio Link USB MP3 Player - Sound Quality vs ipod?

For anyone who has the Audio Link USB MP3 player, how is the sound quality when you use a USB drive? I like the USB solution since I am not a fan of Apple and it is much cheaper to buy a USB stick rather than an ipod, but I worry that its onboard Mp3 decoder and DAC wouldn't be as good as the one on an iPod or other portable player.

Does the Audio Link USB Mp3 player have good sound quality?

I think the sound quality is going to depend entirely on the quality of your Mp3's. I don't hear from many people who have the USB version but I never heard any complaints.
