Is it possible to uninstall the a/c and if so what needs to be done to do it?

1st thing is to discharge system, removed compressor and belt, both high and low pressure llines, condensor, and accumulator/drier. Then seal up the hole in the firewall. Alot of work to save maybe 25lbs. Just take the belt off. it will take some of the drag off the crank, 2.7hp for every punod off the crank. Underdrive pulley company clains that, dunno who brainfart.

Thnx for that info! The system is all discharged already since the new motor install, so everything else should'nt be to bad then. Can i use the same belt or do i need to get a smaller one?

if you have a serp belt setup you will have to get a shorter one. There might be an option for a non ac belt call around to like nap and advanced. if the compressor has its own belt just remove it.

ok so you will have to get a shorter one. If there is not and option for a non ac belt, use string/wire and tightly wrap it around crank and ps pump. measure in cm or mm and call and ask for that size belt. best bet is napa. Advanced kids usually are clueless, call them and aske for muffler bearings or blinker fluid lol.
