enganear probably means that one day the resonators we remove from our cars will be plastic. In any case, you know what the article is about, no need to intentionally misunderstand.
That's interesting, though. It's hard to imagine any plastic that withstands temps of 600-900 degrees C for long periods of time. But I'm no materials engineer, looks like lots of advances are being made in plastics.
