Nissan GT-R for FTW!!!

The everyday 24/7 Supercar. Anyone, anywhere, any time!!!! You can tool around town like you can in a Town Car or you can rip up the highway with Autobahn speeds. Out handles a BMW M5 and M6.

Plus sits 4 and has AWD.

Love the ZR-1 but I gotta have AWD with that many horses. GT-R FTW

I'm trying to convince my father to get a GT-R. He apparently got rid of his carrera not too long ago and is looking for another sports car once his current lease is up next year (toyota solara, WTF?!?!?!?). Yah, GT-R FTMFW!

Sitting 4 is something true sports cars should not feature.

Besides, the looks of the Viper and Vette own the GTR in visual appeal. This futuristic shit has to end. The R-34 was the REAL deal, now they're just ruining the thing.

Sits 4 barely.

So I guess a 911 or a RX-8 are not true sportscars?

Yah, the porche to the solara has been like a kick in the dick for him. The GT-R just might bring him back to par!

How come he went from a Porsche to a Solara? Hell anything that is better will bring his dick bad.

His ex-wife leased the solara right before they got divorced. Keeping both was not an option.

Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into a "my dad's car" thread. If I do my job though, I'll let you know how the GT-R drives... :D

gtr for me! and superstretch if he's serious about getting one from what I have read he'd better get to a dealer and put down a deposit. buying one 2nd hand has already cost people 20+k$'s.

im a HUGE viper fan...try the new 08 viper ACR for competition...no engine mods just loses a ton of weight (though it adds a lot on in aero mods like a large wing for downforce and a front splitter) all in all it loses like 200 lbs or so but adds on like 75 or something like that in handling effective aero mods. so for me it would be that, i love the vette and im liking the nissan more and more but Viper FTW for me, just screams badass and has a killer exhaust note.

As much as I like the GT-R, you can't deny the ZR1. That thing is just damn impressive, even if it's 100k. I can't wait to see one in a few weeks in person!

Try this on for size. Turn key race car from dodge herself. Just jump in and drive the thing! ;)

Cool, but its not a street car. I would have to go and buy a Nismo GT-R JGTC race car to compete with that Viper and the Corvette C6R in ALMS or SCCA World Speed Challenge GT.

We build Vipers all day long, I am fortunate enough to KNOW what 780hp feels like on the street and the Viper will always rule them. For under $100K you can have one of the fastest street cars ever mass produced. We have built almost 100 of these in the last 2 years and I can tell you 230 mph on the street is INSANE. But knowing it will is priceless!

I've driven the SRT-10 in its first incarnation and the last gen Z06, and based on that I would have to say that the Vette is still more comfortable too. I like the looks of the Viper, especially the ACR, but its just not practical. I could see myself in that ZR1. The GT-R is just not attractive to me.

Donas64

GTR is super fast, super composed, but not the face I would like to see when I open my garage.

The Viper is a rude crude bruiser with a mean swagger but it would get on my nerves in everyday living.

The Vette looks sext, is uber fast, can be lived with day to day and did I mention it looks sooooooooo sexy.

Vette Please!

i vote gtr, at least i can drive it in the snow and rain better than rd ;)

vvette an viper is sick, but i think i can live with the gt'rs daily driver personality :)

Rotary_Powered

I love that Viper takes no prisoners. The car has no mercy whatsoever for whomever drives. The car wraps you in driving it, the Viper requires every ounce of your attention. And I love that fact.

As long as it's not my daily driver, I'd opt for the viper. Daily driver, I'd pick the vette. The nissan is just plain ugly...and heavy.

I voted Vette. It'll out do both those cars, but for that price, it'd probably be better to compare to the GT2 and Ferraris.

viper. just because. but gt-r in a very very very close second.

I don't think the Vipers are comfortable enough to drive on a daily basis for me. I LOVE the way it looks and yeah, it take no prisoners (bowdown)

The Vette is a freaking Deceptacon and still manages to look mature. 620hp....is it possible that the car has TOO much power??? (attn) Nope!

GTR. Not for me. The body styling is already old to me. It's like a car that needs to be updated in my mind. I would take any of these cars though. :)

The GT-R is going to be the easiest to drive as a daily driver but the looks arent sexy.... its the all brains no muscle of the bunch.... the Viper is the most "ricer" of the bunch (a lot of over the top design queues) and like a lot of you have said: its a brute.. pure muscle no brains...

Winner is: Da Blue Devil... its a balance of muscle and brains... then again I may just be a "little" biased....I would do without the damn carbon fiber lip on it as its just asking to get banged up (trust me on this)

jbiird317
01-11-2008, 11:56 AM
gimme the vette anyday, that thing is straight gorgeous and more power than all the rest. the viper loses because of my personal bias against chrysler products, and the gt-r loses cuz of the dual clutch tranny, im still not sold on a supercar without a stick....lets face it tho, if any of those 3 pulled by you on the highway, all of us would be drooling over any one of em....

(lol) True. But, coming back on the topic, regardless of the maker, The ZR1 carries a Sports Car class and tradition that is extremely difficult (or impossible) to match IMO (and GM has been able to keep it well alive, regardless of all its downs in other areas)

Thought choice between the R35 and ZR1. Voted for the GT-R because it has the potential for a bit more performance that can be unlocked. That and I like the older skylines more then the older corvettes.
