Wierd Dragging noise

ok, everyonce in a while when im driving my car i heard a wierd sound like something is either hitting the ground or is banging against something under the hood as im either coming to a stop sign or pulling away in first after i stop. anyone know what this could be?

is your engine undercover cracked and hanging? that's what happened to mine

After you check the panel underneath your engine, I would check all the motor/transmission mounts. If one of the bolts is backing out (there is a recall for the one on the driver's side) your motor could be rocking enough to hit the underside of the hood.

my mounts have previously snapped and im guessing that the dealership messed up in "fixing" my car, im taking the car in today to get it checked

brought my car to the dealership and they said they couldnt replicate the noise so im guessing they didnt bother to check for anything...jerks. had my turbo seals checked and atleast those are alright. this draging noise only happens once or twice every week or so, anyone have any idea?

replicate the sound at the dealer when the tech is sitting in the car with you

its really hard to do that considering it happens at completely random times and i cant replicate it...it happens when it wants to.

When exactly do you notice this noise? I have heard something similar when accelerating hard after not accelerating hard.....understand; like getting on it about 75% throttle as opposed to 45% in 4th or 5th gear. From what I can hear it sounded like rubbing plastic, didn't sound like a mount.

Im not too worried about it because I have not heard the noise in quite a while but It would be good to have someone diagnose the issue.
