Well, after my sister had given my P5 a heart transplant with her little puddle driving, she decided my car could use a punch to the face by plowing through something in the middle of the highway. So now, she's scratched and cracked the paint on my front bumper and put a nice size hole in my lower grill. I was originally thinking of not giving a damn about my car anymore since my car's not been the same since my engine was hydrolocked but the more I look at it, the more I get frustrated with it and want to just rip that grill out and break it into a million pieces.

Anyways, without getting frustrated, I was thinking about putting a lip over it to cover up all the little paint scratches and get a new grill or to just get the whole bumper repainted and get a new grill.

What would be the best and most cheap method?

Get a Mazdaspeed front bumper or a dg urethane lip and look in the part out threads, im sure you could get that bottom grill for pretty cheap

MSP lip and new grill. if you get the bumper repainted it might not match the car with fading and other chips and scratches.

The lower grill is only $26.64 from online mazda parts (http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=214264&chapter=&sectionids=0,2276&groupid=51817&subgroupid=2292&make=22&model=Protege&year=2002&catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0), as for the lip versus new bumper that is up to you.

Get yourself accolade body kit or Dg motorsports carbon fiber widebody.

+1! Damn man, I would have cut her off after the hydrolock...

As mentioned above at least get the MSP bumper cover that deletes the side marker lights. The lips are optional IMO - I plan on being so low in the future that a lip wouldn't even be feasible. The Accolade kit is an intereting option although then you'd have an even bigger gap up front. You could always do what I did - just rip out that lower grille completely and put a FMIC in, LOL! What would be the best and most cheap method? Best & cheap are 2 different things, pick 1 or the other. Cheap would be not lending your car out in the future. At this point given past performances...make your sister rent your car, buy your car or have her make some friends to give her rides.

It's not as easy as that, my parents got it for me but since my sister and I go to the same college it's easier to just share the car. Personally I don't give a crap about my car anymore and since I can't get a new car I just don't want whatever I drive to look like shit.

I was mostly joking, especially since I have 3 sisters. Just swap it for a beater that nobody has to care about, just ugly enough that she won't want to borrow it then you'll always have a working ride. See where I'm goin with this? LOL
