Illm Eft On/off?

Ok, I'm too lazy to search my safety-warning-filled manual for this. Does anyone know what the setting "ILLM EFT ON/OFF" does on the Bose head unit? It doesn't have any apparent effect.

Illumination effect..this is the feature of how the lights will move with the volume control. You can turn it off or on.

Ah, thanks! I had been wondering, I didn't notice the lights didn't do their KITT thing when I had ILLM EFT off.

Kinda gimmicky but dammit at least they're trying.

Now I know not to turn that option to the off position. The lighting effect when adjusting the volume is so boss.
