Is anyone running synthetic oil and if so what grade? Also, has anyone heard of Rotella T synthetic oil? My dad runs it in his bike and swears by it that is the best.

Royal Purple 5w30, car has 19500 miles on it and no smoking or oil consumption. It costs me $7.75 qt. here in san diego but I think it is worth it. The price makes a lot of people go for mobil1.

Amsoil!

I love this stuff!

But honestly, I doubt you will really notice much of a difference between the different types of oils.

Royal purple is good stuff too, but I have used amsoil since I had my last car and its treated me well so I stick with it.

Should be $5 a quart unless youre using the racing oil.

If you believe half the stuff you read on the net...

Synthetic Oil will either cause your engine to throw a piston into low earth orbit, or will give you ten MPG better, add 50whp, and make your engine cleaner.

I honestly doubt anything bad will happen on synthetic oil with these cars. But, we'll have to wait and see.

Penzoil Platinum deals with oil dillution due to the DI nature of the motor better than other oils. Plus synthetic won't coke the turbo.
