The ad says it's a DX, but from looking at the options and equipment in the car, it appears to be either a LX or an ES.

I prefer the 1.5L engine, because my family has owned a 1998 Protege DX and loved the gas millage it got, so I wanted to know if someone can tell me which model this is. Thanks

I don't know about the LX, but it's definately not an ES as it doesn't have the 1.8L.

Thanks, that's what I was interested in. I know it says it has the 1.5L in the ad, but I wasn't sure because of the features in the car.

Could you tell by the ad, or because the 1.8L looks different in the engine compartment??

the 1.5 is a piece of shit, not sure why you even want it
the 1.8 is much better and still has great gas mileage

It's because the 1.8 looks different.

I have to agree with the TheMAN in that the 1.8L is a much better power plant.
