Congrats and Welcome.
Would those be the Mazda6 17" wheels or did the PO swap the 02 stockers for the 03's?

Your first guess was right - they are 6 wheels. I really dig 'em on this car though...

Nothing big for now (I'm broke after this!), but I probably will black out the emblems pretty soon. I think it'll look pretty sweet to have matte or semi-gloss black emblems on the black P5...Any ideas on what paint to use?

Yes, the 6 wheels do look nice. I almost did the same thing to mine. As for paint, I used Krylon Fusion - satin black. Don't forget to be careful when pulling them off due to the pins and get some Goo Gone. Will help getting the residue off your paint from the old tape.

Cool man, I will look for that paint asap. Did you just put your emblems back on with 3M tape or what? Also did you sand the emblems or anything before painting, or just sprayed 'em down?
Thanks!

Yeah, I used double sided tape to put them back on. Pain in the @$$ but gotta make sure they don't fall off. I did sand them down as well. Didn't get too crazy just enough to score the chrome plating.

It's strange. Those rims look great on that car, but when they are on a 6, they look a little plain. Maybe it's because the 6 looks best with 18".
The Six rims looks great!
