okay the description says that the 3.5 lip is "an ad on" so my question is, is the 3.5 lip the same as a bumper.
im wondering is if the part is the whole thing? or is the bumper/lip two completely different things?

The buper is..Well..the Bumper cover...The Same one in Used on both the MSP(03&03.5)/MP3.
The lip is an add on lip that ONLY came on the 03.5 MSP.
I'll find you pics.
And Use search..its your friend.

the lip goes on the bottom of the bumper, they are two separate pieces. A lip is basically just an add on to the stock piece to give it a bodykit type of look without having to buy a whole new piece.

hmm, cause after staring at the bumper w/the lip i cant tell for the life of me where the lip starts! The fog light assembly and bottom lip look like one with the bumper, cause i cant find any pics of JUST the lip not attached to the bumper!

The Bumper is the large item...The lip is the small lower item.
What else would you like to know?

holy crap! thanks for the ftl(faster than light) response! cause i got a p5 with a broken front bumper, i rearended somebody and broke most of the clips and got 1 crack in it, and i want the 3.5 msp look. So i would need to buy a 3 or 3.5 msp front bumper and the obviously the 3.5 lip then? And does the lip just clip/screw on or how does that work?

I dont have the part numbers handy....But a new bumper is about $240 from the dealer and the Lip "KIT" which includes EVERYTHING to install it is about <$200.

The lip Mounts using Two sided tape along with factory mounting points. It is in Fact a Factory item so Fitment is perfect.
Getting the kit will save you a lot of headache in the long run since you need a new bumper anyway and it will need painted as well.
Neither the Bumper or Lip come painted..they are both Raw Urethane that needs to be profesionally painted at a Body shop of your choice.

Dude..I am trying to save you a lot of time and trouble here.

Order a new bumper from the dealer..It will be cheaper in the long run as it will take minimal Prep to get it painted.

And the lip...you can order it from PG if you want..but it might cost you more as well...He does have to ship it to you.

The dealers list price on the bumper is roughly $240..and the lip is Roughly $200.

Neither can be had PRE-painted.

And even if you find a Bumper USED....Its highly unlikely that you will be able to buy it AND have it shipped to you much cheaper than a new one.

Some things you are just better off buying new locally to avoid the hassle.

Your not gonna spend anymore on the items this way.

hmm, you make a good point i forgot bout shipping! im probably gonna go the the dealer on mon and at the very least get the part numbers, if not order one of the pieces, probably the bumper. then once i get the two pieces do you/anyone know how hard it is to replace the bumper/add the new lip?

Fairly simple..you can bolt on a bupmer in about 30-60 minutes with hand tools.
I have had on off soo many times I can likely do it in about 10 minutes.

Just taking off the current one will show you how easy it will be.
Just have to pull the clips on th inner wheel wells loose..then there is two 8mm bolts at each fender.....Two 10mm(think under the body near the engine) and the two up by the headlights...then it just tilts, lifts and slides off.
Having two people is helpful but not neccessary.

Your hardest part will be getting the paint done for a reasonable amount..

Very true. I don't hate the way the sedan looks - I've just developed a soft spot for wagons. I still tell myself if I could go back and do it again I just would have bought a spicy and go from there. The only downside about having an MSP5 is that there are no bolt on exhausts greater than 2.4". It all has to be custom... The P5 is lighter too.

that is EXACTLY what i am doing, ms everything! plus i couldnt affor a msp+ the insurance, they rape me due to my horrid record...3 speeding tickets, 1 is 55 over the limit, and a suspended liscense sentence that was 6 months but overturned in 1.5 months.
