CorkSport NA Miata Exhaust

Hello All,

We have been working on some Miata products and here is one of the items due for release soon. The exhaust system will be $350 which includes a silencer for the tip in case you need to quiet the exhaust down. The exhaust is made from T304 SS and is tig welded. The exhaust has a bung on it for any OBDII models and has a plug if you do not need the O2 sensor port open.

Nice to finally see some pics of this thing. It's been talked about quite a bit over at clubroadster.net (http://www.msprotege.com/forum/clubroadster.net). Hopefully theirt site will be back up and running tomorrow. I see that you've tried to stay true to the RS*R look too. Sweet!

hehe just listened to the clips. sounded awesome. how come theres so much white smoke coming from the exhaust though? is it that cold or r u leaking coolant?

Been looking forward to the final production model of this exhaust. Looks and sounds great!!! Although.... I'm still curious about the specs.

Like I stated in cr.net, I'm now torn between this exhaust and the one from Fuji-Racing.(fight)

It pretty cold out when we did the vid clips thus all the condensation from the exhaust.

The pictures above is the production piece. We should have these in stock mid to end of jan.

I forgot to weigh the system before it was test fitted. A guess would be about 16 lbs.

There will be some dyno testing on the exhaust system. I will find out when that is going to happen.

I never listened to the sound clips before and I'm pleasantly suprised. It sound pretty nice. Definitely quieter than the RS*R because it has a resonator. Good stuff Corksport, if I didn't already own the GTII, I would definitely pick this up, since it's a great alternative.

Nice sound C.S. !! well done!! btw does the exhaust have the silencer on all the vids? what about the O2 sensor, do you get any cel? thx for sharing this new exhaust!

The vids do not have a silencer installed, just a stock Miata with our exhaust system.

The O2 is in pipe right after the exhaust manifold so there wont be any CEL from it. If you have a 96 or 97 model we did include the O2 bung on the pipe after the cat.

8 wheel hp and torque on a 1.6 engine with over 300000 miles with no other mods and the hood closed.

On that term as optimized velocity i agree with you but if so you will lose some back pressure meaning lost from 0k to 3000k or so :rolleyes:

lol all i got is a mazdaspeed axleback so not much performance on it hehe. its a sportshift so its worst haha

i actually like the sound. people say its a bit loud when ur WOT but its pretty good. i dont hear any drone so idk what people are talking about. lol yea i'm thinking of getting an AEM sri eventually.

Well so far so good man! I replaced the stock cat for a glasspack and stock muffler for a turbo one. Some better flow after 5k until RL and a nice mellow note. I will do custom intake soon, will post pics of it
