So the dreaded and mad deadly clunk has occurred on my 06 Mazda3, the clunk is coming from the front of the car

and what it looks like is the OEM endlinks have been pushed to there limits and its time to upgrade them

but what I need clarification on is, the AWR or any adjustable front end-link.

what are the benefits to having an adjustable front end link? what would be the effects of having the ability to adjust it the length of the end link, is one length better then the other?

how does length, either shorter or longer have anything to do to stiffness?

I will be doing some light track and autocross and yes it is a daily driver as well.

This is my current setup:

Hotchkis 29mm Front and 32 Rear Sway Bars

Mazdaspeed Shocks and Tanabe lowering spring, it say 1.5 F and 1.1 drop, but the front looks more to be droped 2.25 inches.

Adjustable end links do not significantly change the stiffness. The main use is they are stronger than the stockers and the adjustability lets you move the ARB away from hitting the frame which is a problem on some Hotchkis installations. It also allows you to add left or right preload bias for accurate corner weighting.

ARB = Sway Bar (Anti-sway actually). Same thing.

ARB means Anti-Roll Bar.

I say you should do the install with the stockers. If you have a problem that may be fixed by the adjustable ones, you can put them on easily later.

Make sure to put the front ARB brackets as far back in their slots as they can go.
