oh yeah...thinking maybe some 17" rims (not sure what type/color yet) Black seems to look good on yellow P5's. I want to def lower it with some coilovers and do something with the front grille, add a front lip. I've been looking at some aftermarket tails but most of them look too ricey. I'm really diggin the grille/tails that sabrelli is rocking though.... Any other ideas?

A few you could knock off and drastically improve it would be the DIY headlight blackout, shave them sidemoldings, black out the emblems and take off that roof rack and paint them calipers, all for probably 50 bucks or less

if you ask me, i think the p5 looks better with the roof rack on it. With out i think it looks to oblong or almost old person like...thats just my opinon, that and i use my roof rack, i have a bike rack i mount on, snowboard rack, kyak etc..

the pic of my car shows it in its snow action mode!(snow action mode comes complete with steel rims, snow tires, and a coating of salt on your paint) and you can see my corksport header back exhaust;)

I agree...Less yellow on the interior or it'll get riced out fast. I saw some nice black ones with yellow stitching recently & they looked good. Nice to see more yellow P5s. The pic with the ice looks cool. :)

+1 again. on top of that, unless the yellow is exactly the same shade as the exterior of the car (which is probably isn't) then it won't look as good as you wanted it to anyways

Yah, they are not rock blockers. They are Catz spot fogs which the lenses are made of yellow glass. They sell them on ebay if your interested. I would recommend them to all, they are way better than the stock fog lights in terms of looks and performence.

gotta love winter, except now...in wisconsin. Nothing higher than 10 degress in about 2 weeks and with the windchill about average temp of -15 degress. And the p5 starts just fine, and i have used mine as a snowplow as well;)

I love teh skate...But I havent in awhile due to this damn deployment but once i get back to cali its time to become a beach bum again in pacific beach and kste until sundown then drink corona's on the beach..boo-ya..whats your set-up? Right now I ride a Enjoi with Venture trucks and CCS blank wheels...I usually just ride blanks cause i destrot decks faster then some people destroy motors here on the forums but its pretty good and held up through all the abuse

Sweet! Yah have been riding for about 10-12 years now so I brake decks to fast to buy the name brand boards, plus I have found that most blank decks are just as good or even better than the name brands outh there. So I ride a blank deck from a local skate shope, Monster truckes, and spitfire wheels. Sounds like you got the good life being a beach bum.

STL has a pretty big skater scene. STL has a landmark on the national skateboard registry. Keiner Plaza. It's illegal to ride there but there are alot of out-of-towners that skate it. All the locals know not to. It sucks cuz I'm suck a fan.

Just make sure the empty lot has no snow banks. lol I put two cracks in my front bumper and one in my rear bumper so far this winter drifting on the streets(on empty abandoned streets of coarse).

We got her about a month ago and so far I've put on some Tanabe DF210 springs and one 17x7.5 Rota D2's wrapped in 215/40 Neo Gen's with +48 offset... and it still rubbed. Threw a coat of wax on her today and rolled the rear fenders. It came w/ a Magnaflow cat-back on her that sounds pretty good to me. Probably the ol' ricar coming out in me. Anyways, here's the pics of the Short-bus!!!!

That is a ginormous offset! They look amazing though!
optical illusion. They have a hella lip and the spokes curve back in hard. +48.... very, very inset but they do stick out quite a ways... I guess it's the 7.5" wide and the 215's. Thanks alot man. You should see the back wheels....

Okay...I know this is a but OT, but it pertains to our beloved Yellow P5s...

Do any of you find that your car seems to blend in at time? I swear, other people do not see my car coming! I've almost been hit head on, T-boned, rear-ended, and backed into I can't even tell you how many times! Thank goodness I am a defensive enough driver to get myself the hell outta the way but I swear they just don't see me! The going joke is that I drive Wonder Woman's invisible jet! I just don't see how you can NOT see a bright yellow car!

I just washed my car and before I could get it into the gargage it has a nice layer of pollen over it, funny thing, its yellow so can really only tell its on the glass lol (bang)

Yeah...they are the ONLY people who notice the car. I figure I must blend in with the yellow lines on the road or something. It's amazing how many people don't notice me coming down the road & pull out in front of me.

ESPECIALLY the 5-0...cant hide from them...Pixiemama, ill be home in 4 months, I stiall aint forgot about that headlight swap :D..how are ya doin? you too zoomit and woody, whats new? anything new with the ride? i got beef with the NV DMV rght, the sum nitches are saying they that they havent showed me as insured since nov. of last year and trying to coach my mom though doing my registration has been a PITA and they wont take it until i verify my insurance and of course they are closed on the weekends..I swear thier soul purpose on this earth is to give me grey hair...Other then that i Had another member on here, a friend of mine do a tune up on my car and what not, my mom dropped of my car at his house and he also did the non fouler for my header and my mom says its still throwing a CEL and its frustrating cause I cant be there to look at it, it drives me nuts, its failed smog 4 times now but i dont blame him, hes a good guy and I trust him, just wish i could look at it cause my "rents are too old to even kneel down to look at anything so i cant wait to get back and get my hands back on her...also get my mom off my back for the slew of parts pileing up in here downstairs family room from DG and tokico and several other places, she always complaining a the pile grows...

I have my DG lip and my new tail lights, the blacked out ones from mazdaspeed777 (getting rid of the altezzas that came on the car) along with the rims. probably gonna do all that this week. Yo man, glad to hear from ya. Sucks to hear yer having trouble with johnny law. Not much new with the P5, threw in some PIAA fogs last weekend, mucho better now. Thinkin about selling my P5 actually. It's been a great car, but it's just a work car, and I need some stimulation on the hr drive to work and I just aint gettin it from my lil auto 2 liter. I hate even thinking about it with the economy the way it is, and driving so far I don't want to buy something too new and just throw miles on it. I was browsing the classified ads yesterday and wasnt shit in there for sale, if it was it was either POS or too expensive. Anyways, gotta run...peace (2thumbs)

Yeah, they took the sketch, and made it up on the computer, and printed it off in no time. It started as a joke because one of my co worker's buddies has a P5 and denies it's a wagon, so I said I'd get a windshield banner that said "wagon pride" and here you have it.

I'd paint the top half yellow...It would give it a better contrast & more "flow." It looks really nice, though. I always love the two-tone carbon fiber hood. (2thumbs)

I didn't bend the tabs up, I actually loosened the bolts behind the fogs. That moved them up plently! (alright)

I can't get the adjustment bolts to budge on either car. I'll probably PB blast em this weekend while I repaint the rear valence and swap out my bumper lights and swap out foul'd door lock actuator. It's gonna be a fun weekend!!

haha nice disclaimer on that one. and I would def be interested. The only thing is the reason there is a DIY is that u are gonna be able to get a nice amount of $ for those headlights (not that you would try to rip off anyone, just saying) The DIY is soooo much cheaper.

Long story short... when Ken from Protegegarage was picking up my car to have it fixed (towed) they jacked up the bottom of the front bumper. So ken said that he would have the lip painted for free instead of fixing the bumper (cause the lip just covers it all up). I said that sounds good to me.

How many times did you spray them...also clearcoat...I just got done using the VHT on my orange and clear sidemarkers and did my fogs...I used 7 coats, but those look much darker...Thanks...

Tell her to join he familia...I gotta gripe...For some reaon and ive brought it up befoe but for ome reason I think my wheels look too small on my car and urks me...They are 17s and I dont really want to go any bigger, Im going to lower but im thinking fatter tired might help too, any ideas, pics of mine are the first post, lemme know...and woody your car looks sick man

Your wheels look good. I don't think they look small. I have 18's but I'm getting tired of the super low profiles tires I have on there (215/35/ZR-18). When it's time for some new ones, I'm going with a thicker profile, since they exaggerate the gap (I haven't lowered & won't for a while...LOL!). Your 17's look good.

thanks a lot man, and by the way i'm on 17s with 215/40/17. With the eibachs there is no wheel gap and no rubbing at all even with a full car (plus i'm on stock struts which i'm sure need to be replaced at 90k+ on them)

Snows came off Thursday afternoon... and the stock wheels ( now painted a sort of BMW gun metal ) are back on... they look bigger than 16" to me ( or maybe that was because I was getting used to looking at the 15" steel snow package )... maybe will keep me from looking for new 17" wheels / tires for a while.
Had her tuned up the week before, too ( roughly 50K miles ) and first tank yielded a solid 33 mpg... nothing wrong with that...

I know... but I think for the miles I do a year ( 30,000+ - this is a work car ) it may not be in my best interest... My STi ( my real fun car ) is running on Eibach's ( roughly 1.5" drop ) - which I love - but for the P5 I think I'd only consider something if it were to be only the slightest of drops...

I paid 250, which is a little high imo. I've seen people get it done for as low as 175. I did the install, and its not hard at all. just a few zap screws at each end near the wheel well, and a whole bunch of double sided tape. This thing is on there good! But, I have some gaps where it contours out near the fog light, so I may yank it off and re align it.

also, I got sick of that hideous yellow grill, so I just painted it black again earlier today.

I have Espilers right now. 1.4 inch drop front and rear. Not bad springs at all. I had MP3 springs before these.

A little of topic guys but one of my upcoming projects is to paint my calipers. What color do you think will go good with a yellow car? I was thinking of trying to get the Brembo gold or paint them black since red is too McDonaldish. Any suggestions?

Cool, A couple recomondations if I may to help you get your car lookin real good:


Remove dealership badge
Remove roof rack(if you wont be using it)
Remove side door moldings
Tint tail lights
Black out headlights
