No but most of the drive train will. :D

Please do more research before you tell someone that. Only drivetrain parts from the Escort GT will interchange easily to the 1st gen Protege. I took that advice from another forum and bought a 91 Escort LX to put my crashed 94 Protege's perfect automatic transmission into only to find it didn't work out together. Even with the GT, not everything will work on the Protege.
