I got the navi/radio/sirius touch sceen panel in my 2007 GT. Has anyone else noticed that the screen seems dim and hard to see?
I've got the brightness turned up all the way but it still looks dark. Especially in the dusk when the headlights are on and it's not completely dark yet.

I already took it out of auto mode and is in day mode all the time. The weather is getting colder here and I wonder if that has something to do with it?

Are you wearing polarized sunglasses?
I have no issues with the contrast/brightness on the unit other than in direct sunlight.

rslam I have the same issue as you. I agree with you that the cold might be causing this. Not sure if there is anything we can do about it though...

Yes, it's the cold. We have the same issue in our CX-9, as well as in my BMW 5 series; previous cars with these screens were also affected (Sienna, VW Phaeton). It's the nature of the LCD screen; the "Liquid" part of the display gets affected by the cold and it gets better as the car warms up.

The screen in my Nissan Murano is also darker in the cold until the vehicle warms up.
