Hey Guys/Girls

I have been getting multiple misfire codes, and it can happen at anytime, the engine has about half the power? Has anyone resolved this problem, I put new plugs in a few months back (Iradium)and have replaced nothing else. This happens very randomly. I am lost can any help ?

I have a cracked rim on my winter rims (The original 2002 P5 twisted style, dull finish) It has a crack on the lip and it is right thorugh, about 1/4" long. Do you think this could be welded or DOES anyone have one for sale?

Thanks

I wouldn't try welding the crack, the heat might just make it worse. I have seen a cracked rim welded and then the crack just gets bigger as soon as it is driven on again. As far as the miss fire goes I'm in the dark, maybe you put the plug wires back on wrong?

you cant really put plug wires on wrong. they do however need to be snug on the plug. your issue might be coil packs...

I went and bought a used rim, for 150, seems there are only 2 in Ontario, I still have to check out the misfire issue this sat.

Thanks for you replies

Misfires - Ignition coils.

You can either get two new ignition coils, our vendors carry them, or check the FS section as I know one guy still has a set ready to ship. OR you can get a 1.8l ignition coil from a Miata or 98 Protege. They are basicly the same. There is a How To on this site that shows you the conversion. I am running this after going through three sets of coils.
