This is my first post, I wish it could be a better one.

I have a 93 323 1.8L sohc 5spd, here is the problem. Was driving on the highway went to pass and the car died when I stepped on the gas.

Got it home and check for spark, No spark at the coil. Tested everything and the coil appeared bad so I replaced it. Still no spark tried the ignitor and it is good. Had a spare ignitor so I replaced it as well. Still no Spark. Have power at the coil and at the igniter when the when the key is cycled.

What else could cause a no spark issue on these cars? I have power all over it appears but no spark. I took a good wire and put it directly to the coil with a spark plug and no result?

This is not an intermittent problem it just happened out of the blue.

Can anyone assist in this problem?

Thanks
Mark

One thing that happens to all cars, and this left me high and dry back in high school, and that was my cap and rotor.

Take your cap and rotor off, and check it over. It may be time for a new set, which they arent expensive. They are quite cheap, so try that first.
Ile bet you that is the problem. ;)

That would be great if I had any spark to transmit to the distributor, but there is no spark at the coil?
