Hey Guys,

I bought a Cosmic Blue Mazda Speed3 GT tonight. Damn...what a fast car! I wanted to say thank you because you all helped push me in the direction of this car. This is my first non BMW and I can't say that I don't miss them, but 280 lb-ft of torque should help me forget long enough to save up for the new M3.

Welcome! Glad to hear you got a Wild Child!

Now smack the MS CAI on it and it'll be even faster!

I'm starting to notice more and more of my old BMW buddies are moving over to Mazdas, seems to be a growing trend?

Thanks everyone. I am super excited about the car. I have only driven 15 miles so far. It is hard not to drive it fast..stupid break in period.

I hear ya! Break in period was a bear. I had to treat it like work (well fun work) and drive it a few hours a night.

Mazda makes a great car and a solid chassis. That's probably why a lot of BMW guys are moving over. Now they can have speed, handling, and refinement for a fair price.

Congrats! Boost is VERY addictive!

I've owned BMWs since 1983, but I'm finding the newer cars to be a bit too porky and soft. I'll always have a Bimmer or two in the garage, but they will likely continue to be M cars built prior to 2000.
I like Mazdaspeed vehicles because -like BMW's M Division- the cars are well engineered, even in the places you can't see. I also like the fact that they race what they sell- and then some.

I like the fact that I can actually sort of afford one, unlike an M3.

I feel ya there. I was dead set on a 335i coupe. Then I had what I call the "awakening" or, I looked at even the best lease with employee discount, and was like...damn...

hey guys im real close to getting an MS3 i want an silver one i test drove two a GT and a sport i like the sport's seats but i want the xenons and the other options on the GT. Also great to be a part if the MS3 culture the cars are fucking sweet. For those that have black mica does it water spot easily i have a black car now and i hate drying off the car every time i wash it

Black mica would probably give you the same results as your current black car...lol

It takes more effort to keep the black mica looking clean, so unless you're anal on keeping your car spot free, then go with another color, silver or the red one will work just fine. i doubt you'll have trouble with the cosmic blue staying dirty.... I think black mica is a dirt magnet... oh yeah, did i mention i have black mica? lol

gt, and lovin it!! the interior is sexier than the sport model in my opinion... not hard at all to keep clean. i just use the armor-all leather wipes to clean them up.

I have the GT as well and I have Black Mica. It is a dirt magnet and I am anal about keeping my car clean. I like the interior better in the GT because you can just wipe the seats clean. If you keep the leather conditioned and clean it will last a long time.

I love my speed 3. I have been driving it since September and we drove just drove it to Kentucky from The east coast of VA for Thanksgiving. It was a a very pleasent ride.

Your new car may be fast now. But it only gets faster as the miles add up. Welcome to the forum.

Guess Im in the "left BMW" for a Zoom Zoom crowd... moved from a 330i to the MS3.. I like the rarity of the car at 1/3 the price.. BMW's in LA are dime a dozen these days and 99% that drive them dont even have a clue about the performance of the cars.. its all status symbols out here

Thank you very much. Mine is a totally stock Cosmic Blue one - I guess if you have seen one you have seen them all. I'll post some pictures sooner or later.
