I am getting the same boost in 1st and 2nd gear that I do in the rest. It's 16-17 pounds and it is consistent??? I thought there was serious boost cut in 1st and 2nd in these cars? Anyone else out there experiencing this?

Which boost gauge did you get?

It sounds about right..I may be wrong though.

Nope, something wrong there. I get 8-10 lbs 1st and 2nd (maybe a quick spike to 15, then drops back to 8-10.

I bought the car used, and I was wondering if maybe there was a performance part installed that could do this. It is still under waranty and I don't want to mess that up.

The boost gage is a ractive mechanical, I am getting boost from the cold pipe. Thanks for any input!

you either have a modded car ...bad gauge ...or it needs to be recalibrated. take some pics and post them up so we can see of anything has been done.

I think you need to check the tubings and plugs. That or recalibrate like Boostdog stated.

I installed a Injen CAI last night, and took pictures. The brass compression fitting on my cold air pipe is where my boost gage is reading from. I checked and rechecked every connection, and looked for foreign parts. Seems to be running good, so I will blame it on the cheap (free) gage. I want to put it in a better place anyway so when I do that I will upgrade it.

Probably your ms3 already has a mbc installed. Check all the lines from the turbo and wastegate actuator.
