as i was driving last night, i realized that the car in front of me is 1/8 of a mile a way, and my headlights are still shining on the back of their car.

i have never owned an SUV prior to my CX9, but is this normal?

i was wondering if anyone knows and have instructions on properly aiming the headlights for proper height and distance.

thanks

If you have a CX-9 GT it has a manual level adjustment switch on the dash for the HID headlights.

if you do have the gt and the level is set to 0, it's probably the just HIDs illuminating farther down the road than halogen bulbs. i noticed how far my parents cx9 headlights shined the other night.

if you're shining on things that are higher than the back of a car, then something isn't right. the level switch only lowers the lights.
