Hi guys,
I am from Thailand where there is no Mazdaspeed3.
Therefore, I bought Mazda3 here and would like to transform it to Mazdaspeed3 by changing the front bumper. I found out that I can order 5 parts including left and right fender from japan.
Just would like to know that what need to be fixed in order to changing the front bumper. Are there a lot of adjustment?
You guys can see the picture of my car on the website below.

sorry, but a new bumper is not what makes it an ms3.... Instead of spending money on looks, why not go aftermarket turbo?

The look is the most important as I can modified the engine later on.
PS. MAZDASPEED3 look super cool.
The stock pieces are quite expensive. It's around 590 for the hood, 550 for the front bumper, 525 for the side skirts. Then you have the fenders, spoiler and rear bumper fascia.

Can you get the panels pre-painted in any of the colors that are available in Thailand?
I've heard having things painted is very expensive.

The Mazdaspeed 3 has a lot more than just a turbo in it that makes it different than a regular Mazda 3. I think a lot of people are confused about this. The chassis has been modified as well as reinforced. Also, the body panels have been made stronger to handle to extra power as well. The suspension system is stiffer and the ride height is lowered. The transmission, it's not the same one that's in a regular Mazda 3. It's basically a different car all together. Looks are about the only major thing in common. So basically what I’m saying is that it would cost an awful lot of money to turn a regular Mazda 3 into a Mazdaspeed 3. It’s not just the Turbo and looks. If you just but the turbo kit like the one in the Mazdaspeed 3 into a regular Mazda 3 it would be a disaster. The power would be too much for it’s chassis, etc. I only listed a few of the things that are different between them.

Half of what you said is true. Yes it would cost alot of time and money if he wanted to turn his regular 3 exactly like a mazdaspeed 3, but his car wouldn't be a disaster if he bought a turbo kit for his regular 3. There are several boost 3s out there that are producing MS3 numbers at the wheels without alot of heavy modification to the engine.
I think he is more interested in the look.

Sure you can run boost on a regular mazda 3 put it would need a modified chassis and several other things to be able to handle the kind of power the Mazdaspeed 3 puts out. Limited slip / traction control, dsc , the list goes on..

just get a turbo kit and call it a day... a MS3 and a reg.3 are 2 totally different cars... i wouldn't waste my time or money, i'm sure the mazdaspeed engineers at mazda made sure that their was a significant difference between the two.

If you bought the 5 door I would seriously look into the after market body kits for the 3.
There are some hot ones out there that I wish fit on the MS3, and they are already fitted for the regular 3's hood and grill space.
Unfortunately I have an MS3 so I haven't ever looked into making a regular one look like it.

Damn! Guys, He is just interested in the LOOK of the ms3, no turbos or suspension. Thats it.
eakachit, The difference are front bumper, hood, rear spoiler, rear bumper and wheels. I think for the rear bumper you can just change the black insert, but I'm not sure. So, if you want the ms3 look you need those parts. I'm sure is gona be expensive to get those parts in thailand.

I have been installing parts from other models onto my 4dr gs. What I have learned up to now is that the parts will fit but wil some minor modifications. I have spoken to the parts staff at my mazda dealer, and they have on their computer system all of the parts for all of the different models. If you alk to your mazda dealer and tell them what you ant to accomplish, I am sure they will be able to guide you. The other option is to buy the parts and to have a body shop help you with the fitment. As for the paint colours, there is a company in the US called paintscratch where I buy my paint for my 2 mazdas and the paint match is excellent. As the others have said, it will be expensive, but if you want the look then it can be done. Best of luck.

anyone know if the mazda 3 and ms3 rear bumpers are the same aside from the valence? if so - that means ms3's can use aftermarket mz3 bumpers right?
