Well you could try to TIGHTEN them first, but most likely this will happen.

1. you will try to tighten the nut and the whole bolt moves with it
2. You then try to use an alan key in the middle to hold the bolt while you tighten but it is so rusty and seized the alan key rounds out.
3. you get pissed and start putting a torch on it and hitting it with a hammer.
4. it breaks right off
5. now you need the other side off but it wont go with a hammer.
6. you use a reciprocating saw to cut off the end link
7. Buy new endlinks and realize how well they work when they are new and not rusty and broken.
8. you get pissed at mazda for making endlinks out of soft metal and plastic.

having done suspension mods on 3 different proteges I will tell you only 1 if any will come off the way they should. After like 6 months of life they are already too siezed to ever come off. Most mechanics will just cut them off anyway. Save a lot of hastle later in life and buy awr adjustable endlinks. Those stock ones are the bigest piece of shit known to man

One thing That i found works if you have the time is to start soaking the bolts with paint thinner or liquid wrench or wd-40 days in advance so when you go to do it they are unsiezed enough to work. That usually will work if you don't have the money at the moment or don't care at all how crappy they are. Should make them shut up anyway.
