Hey new to the P5 section, but have a question about lighting.

I know on the forum there is a thread on the HOW TO section explaining how to rewire for your fog lights to come on without the headlights......but I'm looking into getting the CATZ yellow foglights and want to wire the HID fogs to go on without the headlights but then when I turn the headlights on, for the fogs to not come on at all. Does anyone know of anyone that has done this? I didn't find it in the HOW TO, unless it wouldn't be that much different than just rewiring for the fogs to come on without the headlights.

There was some other rewire how-to that made the fogs totally independent of other lights, not just come on with parking lights only. Is that what you're talking about?

ya, your best bet is to just wire them up directly with their own swtich

It might be but pretty much what I want is, when I turn on the parking lights, for my HID fogs to come on with the parking lights. But when I switch it to the headlights, the foglights will shut off and wont come on at all, even if you press the button for the fogs.

I'm at work so I will have to check it out, but from the title it says wire to have them always on, I don't want them always on.....I think it would look retarded to have the yellow HID color mixed in with the 6000k from the headlight HID.....but thanks for the thread.

i did the rewire and they only come on with the parking lights, but you still have control over them with the dash switch

I guess I have to wire it to when it clicks onto the parking lights they turn on and when i switch on the headlights it turns off. I just didnt know how much harder it would be to wire it to automatically turn off when I turn the headlights on, kind of like when you put your brights on, the fogs will go off automatically.
