i know what i need for high boosting on my msp but quick question to make my head more clear do i need a engine short block? can i just buy pistons and rods? plz someone answer this question for me so i can get out of confusion.

You can get the rods and pistons and be fine, there really isn't too much else that needs to be done to the motor. It's the rods that are the weak link so far.

Like stated above, you can go with just rods and pistons. But make sure that who ever is installing them checks the clearances of the block. Also keep in mind when running more boost and HP other supporting mods, mainly tranny related are needed.

You should also buy, all new gaskets, and bearings.
If you are going to spend the money on everything else you should also get new head studs and mani studs as well.

I'd just let a machine shop take care of it. Ask them to check the block before you order any parts, or get a spare block and then sell yours when you have the built one in. Mine will go for sale after I get a built motor in, I bet I can find someone local to me that will be needing one by then...
