Ok...totally subjective I know, but which gear really does it for you? I say third all the way!

3rd and 4th are damn good, but I would go with 4th because it's most effective on the highways :)

2nd is good...but you are still limited on your power output. 4th is ok, but it really just doesn't have much punch. 3rd is the best of all worlds!

even though I do way more highway driving, I love casually rolling out from a stop light in the first couple of gears just long enough for someone to try and blow by me then 3rd + pedal to the floor = (kissass) cyaaaa!

2nd, because from 1st to 2nd you get that throw you in the feeling!! Well, maybe if I open it up more often, I'll like 3rd better....lol

2nd in my Mustang. I'm sure it would be 3rd for me in the MS3 since the first 2 are torque limited.

3rd.

I've driven many 4 bangers, and most can sit you back in your seat in 1st, and a lot can lean you back in second, but upon shifting, there is that 4cyl parachute that deploys for 3rd. The MS3 not only pulls like a raped ape in 1st and 2nd, but runs like a scalded dog in 3rd.
