but the P5 uses parts compatible with the ES model right? Autozone's site doesn't specifically list P5, but I thought I remembered it being same as ES model.

A lot is shared but there are differences in spring rates, interior trim, body parts, headlights, foglights, etc, etc. Drivetrains are identical.

Ok, thought so........spark plugs, brakes, etc. are all identical to ES?

Sort of, my inlaws have an 02 ES and it has 4 lug. I have a 02 P5 and it's 5 lug, so brake rotors wouldnt' be compatible. Plugs and wires should be, as long as they're for the 2.0 model.
