I took a stab (poke) at replacing my turbo's oil return line's o-ring yesterday but just couldn't get enough torque on the little bastard...I know other people have done this successfully and am looking for some way to get the line off with the little space left.
Any and all help appriciated

It shouldnt be all that hard, Just note that you need two different size allen keys. For some reason the ones closer to the turbo use a bigger key than the bolts on the pan. The longer the key you can get in there the more leverage you'll be able to get.

you could always soak the little guys with wd-40 or pbblaster.

maybe I've been mistaken on what the return line is...I thought it was the line circled in red in the attached image, I thought thats what it was considering it was surrounded but leaked oil

That is your feed line, the return line is the one underneath that goes from the turbo to the oil pan. That is where the o-ring goes. Its a very easy install. Although it does look like your leaking from the feed line. You might need a new fitting, but I dont think there is any o-ring that goes in there. PM Jaysanooch, he has a diagram that shows how everything fits together. He sent it to me when my return line was leaking...in fact he also sent me the o-ring to fix it.

ha thats why i edited my post. It looks like your feed line is the problem. My leak looked a lot like yours though because the one end of the return line is up on the turbo and has the potential to leak around like that.

I might still have to do the o-ring thing because I do remember there being a decent amount of oil spatter on the oil pan but could never figure out why...at least I didn't but the o-ring in vain....

also keep in mind that the oil return line has a four inch section that is silicone hose. Mine leaked because that hose got baked when my CS spipe sheared in half. I ordered from online mazda parts, super fast and cheap. I could see how that hose could get cracked on any one of our cars due to temps being high.

Another member sent me an extra one he had...all the way from canada actually! They cant be more than like 1.50 at the most. Its an easy fix for the leak. The o-ring I pulled out was completely flattened and so brittle it cracked in two. After I put the new one in there has been no leak since.

Super cheap I bought them from the local autoparts dealer, each one cost me 0.45$

Is it just a generic oring kinda. Like I should have no problem going to a local parts store and picking one up. I hate going to parts stores to get parts for the msp. Never is easy.

An o-ring is an o-ring the problem is getting the size right...I bought like 4 of them in different sizes and will just have to do a little trial and error...I just really didn't want to go to the dealer...they don't really like me anymore...

Well I know that. Do you remember the size by chance?

Haven't installed it yet but as soon as I do I will take a measurement and let everyone know...I know that this is a FAQ questions to which no one really has the answer (at least that I have seen)
Oh yeah, don't waste your time going down there asking them for the "o-ring for a garret t-25 turbo or MSP turbo's oil return line" they just look at you funny...then laugh at you....ouch my pride...

I believe the part number for the o-ring you are looking for is 0000-88-C22. That is the part number on my o-ring.
hope this helps.

So did you get a chance to see what the measurements are on this O ring?

It sucks but I never got the chance to change the o-ring it has either been raining or too dark for me to do anything, I will probably get to it this weekend as I will have access to a garage to get the work done

Well I might try the trial and error myself. O rings should be cheap. What general size should I try to stick around?

My little allen bolt was so damn tight on that bracket for the feed line, of course it stripped, so i took a cutting wheel to it across the bolt head, got it out with a flathead screwdriver....:)... The fitting to the turbo comes on and off nicely with a crow's foot. Return line is on the bottom and very accesable from under the car.
