Just wondering if anyone could tell what are the best bolt on mods I could do on my ms3.

How much horsepower are you looking for? How much you have to spend?
These are basically the rules to live by when modding an MS3...
1. Intake (Mazdaspeed-CAI, Cobb SRI, CP-E CAI, etc)
2. Standback or Piggyback, some form of engine management (Xede, CP-E)
3. Downpipe/midpipe (not the catback...this car has a great stock exhaust)
4. Intercooler upgrade!

Thanks for the reply. I don't mind spending if the mods are worth it. I've got the MS CAI, trying to decide between corksport exhaust or cpe. Does the Xede really make a huge difference? Top mount intercooler upgrade???

The Xede on a stock MS3 yielded over 60hp and 80 ft-lbs at the wheels.
I would expect a little less...maybe 45-50hp and 60ft-lbs.
Its still the best HP per Dollar mod!!
Top mount intercoolers will yeild roughly a 20hp gain...
Changing the exhaust will not yield you any HP...only sound.
You have to change the exhaust between the turbo thru the cats for any power gains; down-pipe and test-pipe.

Best to get a turbo back exhaust? Straight pipe? Thanks for the ideas. Know anyone who has done a oil cartridge to oil filter conversion. I got the oil adaptor for my gauges (oil pres. and oil temp.) but wont work with cartridge system??? Any ideas

Yes, all the gains have been seen with a tbe... The stock cbe is very good as is; the only reason to change it would be to get a louder exhaust.
Any time you delete the cats with a straight pipe will yield you gains.
I know there are a few people that have done the cartridge to oil filter conversion... You should post a thread in the engine section.

I think you can convert it to the filter from the 2.0l na engine. I forget the details but it was mentioned here before.
