checking out the widebands and noticed that the aem needs to be 36 inches from the turbo housing or the sensor will over heat too much

the plug on the msp downpipe is certainly not 36 inches from the turbo..

do you guys who have one use a mod or something?

You have to have one welded in. You cant unplug one of the existing ones. That would work very well. Have an exhaust shop weld one in 4 you.

I have an innovate wideband sensor, using the existing jpipe bung, and it doesn't seem to have any problems with overheating. You could probably just try it and see if the aem shows any errs.

Wow, I always thought it was like 12" away, not 36! If it means anything I've had my AEM since January and over 10,000 miles in the j-pipe location it's still working perfectly (verified by my AFC). I guess now it's going to decide to crap out now that I've said this...
