Parts of the steering wheel which beep?

The center part of the steering wheel is T shaped. I noticed today that the horn would sound after a push on the center or either end of the horizontal bar of the T. However, it would not sound if the bottom of the vertical part of the T was pressed. Is that normal for a P5? I always assumed that there was a horn switch at the bottom. If there is, mine must be broken.

There is only one switch....pressing the center is what triggers it....It must just not get enough push from that point.

I believe that is normal. If I remember correctly, there are two copper contacts under the air bag that touch when you press on the horn and I think they are at the "T" part.
