Apologies if this has been posted before. I did search... honest...

There are two radiator fans I notice. Do they kick in sequentially as the temperature goes up, or is one more to do with the A/C condenser?

I was idling the car having just changed the oil today (had to jump it to start it after listening to the radio for an hour- I see a battery in my future...). The engine was cold - temp gauge reading C. But the fan (driver's side) was cycling on for about 15 s every 2 minutes or so. Is this normal??!! If so, what is the intention of that? On my other cars, the fan just kicks on to bring the temperature back down- when you're in traffic usually. If it's not normal, is there likely to be a temp sensor bad or something?

Thanks!

I bet your a/c or defrost was 'on'. If not - yeah, i would bet on a bad temp sensor.

Following up on my own question. So, it seems the AC runs on every mode except face and face/feet. I usually use 'feet' for heat. Now I am using face/feet though. I found some info about this when I was searching around- apparently some are disconnecting the switch on the mode selector that causes this behaviour, then using full manual AC control with the button.
