Is there such a thing as two different intakes for the P5, As in between Auto Trans and Manual Trans? Or are they the same.

That's what I thought. I was looking at a AEM and the dude told me it would not fit my car because it's a automatic. (Dumb Ass)

because of the placement, the AEM intake has two different designs - one for auto, and one for manual. the auto tranny is physically bigger, so the manual intake will not fit on it.

yeah seriously...sometimes they mount differently for the same reason...so that guy you are calling a "dumb-ass" saved you from wasting your money on an intake that wont fit right...

correct.

One for a manual won't fit an auto, one for an auto will fit both.

Is this also true with a CAI, that drops down infront of the tire? Since the filter is out of the way.

I'm going to go with *probably* not, as it doesn't go down into the space the transmission takes up.
