3rd Gear Grind.. [Archive]

Well lately the msp has been grinding 3rd everytime i shift. the only way i can stop it from grinding is to shift REALLY slow into 3rd. It does this with no other gear. I know my motor mounts are shot so could that be the problem? and the shifter needs to be greased REALLY bad.

any help guys?

Heard the 3rd gear syncro sucks baws... might be it going on the way out

change the trans fluid. it helps! I am having to change trans fluid per oil change to keep the synchros from being biatches.

Use lucas in the tranny change ... i did that and my second gear grind went completely away. I'll post up the link later ...
