from reading other posts, and what i'm experiencing with my car, it seems that i'm hitting fuel cut pretty regularly. it drives me nuts. the car never used to do it, it started doing it this summer at about 80,000 kms. i had it in to the stealership at 60k for new gaskets in turbo and updated intercooler piping. car is stock, save for a k&n filter in the stock box. now it regularly hits fuel cut (at least i think that is what it is) around 4k rpm when accelerating. no boost gauge. where do i get one? how much is it gonna cost me to get? what are the general causes of boost spike? could it be my wastegate not functioning properly? oh yeah, stock wastegate -re-circulating.

also, my overall hesitation has gotten very bad since around the 80k mark. only when it's good and cold will it pull like it should. i don't have the owner's manual for my car. is there a major service near the 80,000 km mark? car still has stock plugs, so it's probably time to change them. what do you guys suggest? staying stock. don't need anything overly expensive.

any help would be great....thanks

if i'm going to put a boost gauge in this thing, i'll most likely be getting an a-pillar pod for it. is there anther gauge or two that i really should have for this car that it doens't come with stock?

where can i buy a new pod for the a-pillar?

boost gauge you should DEFFINATLY have cause if the actuator goes bad you boost infinite psi and BOOM. motor goes bye bye another gauge i would get would be a wideband.

Just about anywhere that sells performance parts. Member vendors are ************* and protegegarage.

You need to ditch the original plugs and get some new ones ASAP. Same goes for the pcv. Might want to change your drive belts also while your at it. Run some seafoam through the car via the pcv vacuum source and the gas tank. Do the simple things first and then evaluate how it runs.

Without a boost gauge you are at a loss as to your idle vacuum and boost. That is really the only gauge you need at this point.
